Sam is passionate ecommerce geek and problem solver, enjoys taming technology.
Prior to GPMD Sam spent 11 years as retail CTO, with colourful technical background: MSc in Computer Science, started as Unix Consultant, created a consulting startup, became CTO of an Apple Premium Reseller, Apple Distributor then of an ecommerce retailer.
Advocates automated builds, short release cycles, haiku code, TDD. Believes in sharing and growing knowledge, training and mentoring teams.
Sam is organiser of the E-commerce London Meetup and the London Magento Meetup – the biggest one in the world with over 1700 members. Active on Twitter, have several open source contributions, interested in AI and machine learning.
Additionally, Sam co-founded GPMD's first product Apio in 2021 after working on it for several years.
