Vision Hotels is a small chain of accessible holiday destinations primarily targeted at the visually impaired and their families. They currently have four hotels scattered around the United Kingdom that are AA 3 star rated.
Site purpose
- Create a brand new website for the re-branded Vision Hotel chain
- Allow visitors with and without visual impairments to view information
- Allow visitors to search and book their stay at one of the hotels
- Allow Vision to manage their online booking, room availability and special offers themselves
What we did
- Worked with digital agency Copious (Accessibility experts) to implement a SilverStripe solution
- Developed a bespoke online booking engine that enables staff at each hotel to manage their bookings and room availaibility and special offers.
- Adapted SilverStripe so that we could adhere to strict accessibility guidelines
What users can do now
- Visitors can now browse and book on the website with screen readers or mobile devices.
- Vision Hotels staff can maintain their own website content
