DTB Sports and Events

DTB sports and events management needed a content management system for their website. Having been designed and built as a static website by Exciting Minds they were finding the cost of keeping the site up-to-date was prohibitive.

Our Solution

We loved the design by Exciting Minds and knew that porting the website to the SilverStripe platform would give DTB the control they were looking for.

The solution required solving some complex issues as DTB uploaded information about many different types of events to their website, from cricket to polo, the system needed to cope with many different event formats.

We created a flexible system that allowed DTB to enter event information and pricing. The information was then searchable via the event calendar which provides users with a quick and easy way to find the events that interest them.

Results

Launched in April 2008 the site immeadiately gave DTB control over the website and allowed them to update information and prices as often as required. The new site immediately improved the traffic from the search engines and we have been working with Urban Element to continue this trend.
