La Fromagerie is one of London's best loved cheese experiences. With shops in Marylebone and Highbury they offer an incredible selection of cheeses to tempt you. But there is more than just cheese to La Fromagerie, the cafe and shops offer a mouth watering array of foods and cakes for breakfast and lunch. You can also hire out the shop for an evening with friends or go along to one of their amazing tasting evenings.
Having worked with Allies Design on the La Fromagerie website in 2006 we decided it was time for a refresh, in particular a move to SilverStripe would make the site much easier for Sarah at La Fromagerie to update.
Keeping customers informed on the many tasting and food events they hold required easy to use systems. We created a system that allowed users to search the cheese room based on any number of criteria, and also find out what's happening at the shop via the events page and a regular email newsletter, all managed in-house by La Fromagerie.
Launched in August 2009 the new site immediately gained attention by being listed in The Independents top 50 food websites.
Traffic to the website has increased on average by 30% a year since we started managing the site in 2006.
