Byte Poker 2010 - Charity Poker Tournament

Google Chrome and SilverStripe

The recent release of Google Chrome saw Google's entry to the browser market.  It has some nice features and is easy to use, although I think it will be a while before it challenges Firefox and IE.

For us there has been an unexpected bonus, because of a great JavaScript engine, the SilverStripe administration website runs alot faster than in Firefox. Couple this with the 'Create Application Link, which put a short cut ion the desktop and when clicked runs a website in an application window rather than a browser window (i.e. with no typical browser control), this is great for web applications that are used regularly like Gmail or the SilverStripe Admin website.

We recommend that all our clients using SilverStripe also use Google Chrome for the admin website.
