We love e-commerce! We have been building e-commerce enabled websites since 1998, during that time we have seen many changes.  At GPMD, we have always had a policy to adopt new standards and software as they become available - as long as they represent an improvement over existing methods.

We recently reached one of these moments in e-commerce with the beta release of Magento Ecommerce developed by California-based Varien.  Magento has been released as open source and is already generating a lot of interest around the world.

Varien wanted to put merchants in control of their own websites and remove their reliance on development professionals for updates and changes. We agree and believe that Magento represents the next generation of e-commerce platforms.

While Magento is still in beta release, we are maintaining our own ecommerce platform and learning Magento. Once a stable version of Magento is released, we will be fully focused on delivering websites based on this platform.
