SilverStripe 3.0 preview 1 is here!
We are very pleased to announce that SilverStripe 3.0 preview 1 has been released. This release is mainly focused on the separation of Sapphire as a framework from the "cms" module, as well as starting the new user interface implementation for the CMS. While most of the work is "under the hood", you should get a feel for how we plan to improve the authoring experience with the new interface.
We'd love for you to download it, have a look around, and start contributing your code and feedback to us. Have a look at our upgrading guide and the detailed changelog to get the full picture.
Get your hands on the new SilverStripe book
SilverStripe 2.4 – Module Extensions, Themes, and Widgets covers everything you need to create a website (or web application) in SilverStripe 2.4, with clear step-by-step instructions. The author guides through the development of a typical restaurant website, and shows ways to customise your installation with templates, widgets and modules. Overall, it's a testament to an active community and healthy ecosystem to have multiple books about our software out there. Find out more about the book.
