Google Launches Trusted Stores

Google has recently launched a new Trusted Stores program, which looks pretty interesting. The new certification for ecommerce websites measures merchants' performance on the following metrics:


  • Percentage of orders with on-time shipping
  • Average days for product to ship


  • Percentage of issues resolved quickly
  • Number of customers requiring assistance with an issue

The percentages and numbers are displayed as part of the 'Trusted Store' logo that is added to merchants websites. What I've been unable to find out is how Google collects this information. However, for merchants it looks like something worth signing up for. This service is currently in limited trial mode, but you can register your interest.
