Front-end and back-end focus

When you embark on a new website project it's usually the case that focus is spent mostly on the front-end, ie: the nice new design and the content. At GPMD we realise that as a web editor / manager you will be using the content management system regularly. This is why we have a best practice guide for customising the back-end (administration panel) of the CMS. We want your work day to be easier because of the solution we provide.

What happens when you get in touch with us about your project?

Initial Project - Under £40k

Once we have discussed your project and understood exactly what is required we follow this process:

• Create a bespoke project proposal
• Review / amend and sign-off proposal
• Build solution (detailed project path is below)
• Launch project
• Secure Hosting starts
• Ongoing services via our Service Packs

Initial Project Over £40k

We carry out the same process above with the addition of a separately billed Technical Specification. The only way to accurately quote for a project larger than £40,000 is to gather all of the requirements and carefully work our how the solution will work. This is then written up into a formal specification which will identify various issues and complex development. Usually this work takes between 2-5 days and costs somewhere between £1000 - £2500. At this point you are welcome to take your Technical Specification to another agency and ask them to quote on your project.

Ongoing Support and Service

Obviously once your initial project is live the work doesn't stop there. There is always more stuff do create, develop and launch on a professional website. We're here to help you with the ongoing tasks. At GPMD we do not have service contracts or maintenance agreements. We simply bill our clients for the time they use. This is in the form or pre-paid blocks of time, Service Packs. Find out more about our Service Packs.

Secondary Projects

You may have created a beautiful new website with our help and it is no doubt performing brilliantly. However, lots of companies decide to create a supporting micro-site or a new section on their main site. This isn't really classed as support as it is a new project. Depending on the scale we can either use time from your existing Service Pack or we can created a fixed price quote for the project.
